A white-field flag where along the bottom there is a black silhouette-cameo
depicting 10 or so upraised-sword-bearing warriors atop the berm of a sand dune
who are contrasted in black against the white background of this flag. These
warriors appear to be holding swords high, rather than rifles. The large center
black Arabic word is "Gaza". The smaller top-right word is: انتصرت "entasarat"
meaning "was victorious". This flag was issued c. June 2014 when Hamas in Gaza
began firing hundreds of rockets into Israel — which provoked a heavy military
counterattack from Israel. Hamas, which then controlled Gaza-Palestine, was
"victorious" in starting this conflict at least. Hamas was still in power at the
end, too. This flag was seen at a "Jordanian Muslim Brotherhood" rally in Amman,
Jordan, on Aug. 8, 2014 during the ongoing conflict. (Photo credit: Muhammad
